牛的赤羽病（Akabane
disease）,由〝赤羽病毒〞（Akabane virous）感染到妊娠牛會引起母牛流產、早產、死產、胎兒或新生兒體型異常及大腦缺損（水腦症症候群）或先天性關節彎曲症為特徵的傳染病。主要是對牛隻、綿羊及山羊引起〝生產異常胎兒〞的疾病。

Akabane is a viral disease caused by an
arbovirus that may cause serious economic losses in ruminants. Inapparent
infections in adults can lead months later to abortions, stillbirths, premature
births, and severe congenital defects in newborns. There is no treatment, but
serology is often used to diagnose the disease. IDvet has developed a
competitive ELISA, ID Screen® Akabane Competition for the
detection of anti-Akabane virus antibodies in ruminant
