Q 熱是貝氏考克斯菌（Coxiella burnetii）所引起之人畜共通（zoonosis）傳染性疾病。C.burnetii 的抗原有相的變異，在人、動物及壁蝨體內新分離的貝氏考克斯菌具有I 相抗原，毒力較強。經雞胚卵黃囊連續繼代後，抗原會變異為II 相抗原，毒力也會減弱。。高危險群包括農夫、獸醫、毛皮業者、屠宰場員工、畜牧業者等，尤其是需經常接觸牲畜（山羊、綿羊）的工作者。

ID Screen® Q Fever Indirect Multi-species ELISA kit
Q Fever is a zoonotic disease caused by Coxiella
burnetii. Sheep, cattle and goats shed the organism in their urine, faeces,
milk and especially in their birth products. Infection is usually asymptomatic,
although there may be inflammation of the placenta, or an abortion.

The ID Screen® Q Fever Indirect Multi-species ELISA uses
the Phase I and II antigen of a Coxiella burnetti strain, isolated in
France from an aborted bovine placenta. The kit can be used with bovine, ovine
or caprine sera.
