Description

Anti-Rabies Virus is a This
product is sold as an antibody preparation for research use only. Standard
Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. Contains
sodium azide (0.1 %) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is
very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.

Purified rabies virus

Specificity

Rabies virus MAbs react with
glycoprotein of rabies virus. More than 20 different strains from 4
serogroups, including CVS, Lagosbat, Mokola, Duwenhage were positive in
neutralisation reaction with MAb 1C 5.
Specific antibody titer for MAb 1C 5 in indirect ELISA is 1.5 x 10^6. Specific
IF titre for MAb 1C 5 (native
BHK) is > 1 x 10^3.

Application Notes

Detection of rabies and
rabies related virus in ELISA. MAb 1C 5
works in immunocytochemistry.

1C5, 4G 4, 5B12 Hybridoma clones have been derived from
hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice
immunised with purified rabies virus.

This product is stable for
several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate
use. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below.
